VBG Group to establish new Group Management

VBG Group AB has decided on a reorganisation in which the Division Managers for the Group’s two largest divisions, VBG Truck Equipment and Mobile Climate Control, will be given a more central role in the work on developing VBG Group.

“My goal has been to create a business structure that promotes both cross-organisational cooperation and utilisation of competence in the Group,” says Anders Birgersson, Managing Director and CEO of VBG Group.

VBG Group AB is implementing a reorganisation within the Group and is establishing a new, overarching Group Management in which the Division Managers for the Group’s two largest divisions, VBG Truck Equipment and Mobile Climate Control, are being given a more central role in the work on running and developing the Group.

“What VBG Truck Equipment and Mobile Climate Control have in common is that they address the commercial vehicles segment with products that are manufactured in smaller series, and to a certain extent they also have overlapping customer segments. Moreover, they face similar challenges and have several shared development issues, for example digitalisation and electrification. I am convinced that this closer collaboration between the two divisions will result in their promoting each other’s continued development,” says Anders Birgersson, Managing Director and CEO of VBG Group.

Part of the reorganisation consists of Anders Erkén, Division Manager for VBG Truck Equipment, additionally being given overall responsibility for the Group’s other divisions, Ringfeder Power Transmission and Edscha Trailer Systems.

“Anders has very good experience in structuring international production and logistics operations, which is exactly the type of challenge faced by Ringfeder Power Transmission. As the person with overall responsibility for Edscha Trailer Systems, he will be able to contribute his knowledge and experience in purchasing. Until further notice, Anders will therefore have overall responsibility for the development of both Ringfeder Power Transmission and Edscha Trailer Systems, while the managers of these divisions – Thomas Moka and Volker Biesenbruck – will still be leading their operations and have responsibility for the budget and earnings,” Anders Birgersson says.

The reorganisation will not affect how the Group reports its earnings; the reporting will continue to be divided according to the four separate divisions.

“My goal has been to create a business structure that promotes both cross-organisational cooperation and utilisation of competence in the Group. With our new organisation, I believe we will have good conditions to optimally develop the Group’s strategies over the long term to meet our financial growth and profitability targets,” Anders Birgersson continues.

After the reorganisation, VBG Group Management will consist of the following people:

Anders Birgersson, Managing Director and CEO
Bo Hedberg, Senior Vice President of Business Development
Claes Wedin, Senior Vice President and CFO
Christina Holgerson, Senior Vice President of HR and Corporate Responsibility
Clas Gunneberg, Executive Vice President, VBG Group and Division Manager, Mobile Climate Control
Anders Erkén, Executive Vice President, VBG Group and Division Manager, VBG Truck Equipment
